Platforms are everywhere and increasingly regulate all aspects of our life. How did we get here? Despite all the talks about Surveillance Capitalism and the rise of Apple and Google, it really started with us sharing pop songs via the internet. Napster was a watershed moment in the development of digital platforms that led eventually to Netflix and the streaming phenomenon in the entertainment ✨
